Swappin Craze...
I have officially gone CRAZY! I think I've got about 10 swaps going right now! Here is my newest addition... I signed up for a Spring Card Kit Swap on SCS a couple days ago and I was so excited! It only took me 2 days to get to sets of kits together and mailed if that tells ya how excited I was! LOL
I put together this card because the first thing I think of when I think Spring is flowers and pastel colors. I fell in love with this stamp when I ran across it... I didn't even know I had it! LOL That's soooo like me!
Enjoy!

Another VSN Challenge
Here's another challenge from the VSN Mini on SCS.
This challenge was called "punch your heart out". It was a sketch challenge, color challenge (Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, Cherry Cobbler) and you had to create a flower using only punches. I had to substitute Rose Red as I'm out of Regal Rose... time to place that SAB order! Yay!
Enjoy!

For You Grandma...
I participate in the VSN Mini on SCS this past weekend for the first time and the last challenge was to create an encouragement card using only two layers and incorporate crumb cake (kraft) in your card as it is the hostesses favorite color....
When I read this challenge and saw a couple cards that were made as encouragement for those battling cancer I froze. It took me a little while but once I stopped crying and got myself together I knew exactly what I wanted to make. The card I made in memory of my grandmother who lost her battle to cancer on August 28, 2009. She faught Ovarian Cancer for 3 years. She was an active member of our local Relay for Life and always put others before herself. She was the most amazing person I've ever known and always encouraged me to move forward and succeed when life was tough. It has been hard without her but I know she is above looking down on me and proud of everything I've done and accomplished over the past couple years.
I used the Hope Is set with a sentiment from Occasional Quotes. It says "Sometimes you just need to know that someone cares. (That someone is me.)" One of the last things she told me when I was visiting her in the hospital was that she would never have been able to get through her three year battle without the love and support of us(family).

Inspired...
by Ilina Crouse!
Those of you who have seen her blog know how wonderful her cards and projects are!
I saw this last week on her blog and thought I'd give it a try... much harder than I thought it would be! She is offering a Valetines Online Class that includes this project and many others and I'm pretty sure with the directions this would be much easier to make! You can find her class information HERE.
Here is my version of Ilina's Heart Ornament!

Boot Camp Check In Monday Week 3
Oh my goodness! I can't believe we are already in week 3! Time is going wayyy too fast and I still have so much to do from last week!
This weeks focus is on color organization (Ink Pads, Markers, Chalks, Pencils). I'm pretty excited about this cause I've pretty much got my colors organized the way I want them already and this will allow me to focus on my papers this week too!
I have a set of pencils but don't really use them so their hidden in a drawer. But here is a picture of my ink pads and my markers... I didn't think I'd like my markers all mixed in a container at first but this actually works really well for me. I just keep them close to my desk and pull out what I need when I'm working!
